Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Return Shipping

For discretionary returns, the buyer is responsible for return shipping and for packing the book securely.

We recommend using a tracked and adequately insured service. The Aureate Page cannot be responsible for loss or damage occurring during an unauthorized or inadequately packed return shipment.

If a return is required because an item was materially misdescribed, an incorrect item was sent, or verified damage occurred in transit, return-shipping arrangements will be handled separately as appropriate.

Condition & Description

Rare and antiquarian books are physical objects that commonly show evidence of age and previous ownership.

Photographs form part of each book's description. Minor characteristics that are visible in the photographs or reasonably consistent with the written condition description are not considered material discrepancies.

If you believe a volume differs materially from its description, please contact us promptly with photographs and details of the concern.

Damage in Transit

If an order arrives damaged, please retain:

  • the book
  • the shipping carton
  • all packing materials
  • photographs of the exterior packaging
  • photographs showing the damage

Contact us as soon as practical so we can review the shipment and address any carrier or insurance requirements.

Refunds

Once an approved return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the refund status.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Processing time after issuance is determined by your bank or payment provider.

Original shipping charges, return-shipping charges, customs duties, taxes, and similar fees may not be refundable except where required by law or where the return results from our error or a materially inaccurate description.

Damage in Transit

If a package arrives with visible damage, photograph the exterior packaging before opening it whenever possible.

Retain the book, carton, and packing materials and contact us promptly if the contents appear damaged.
